Doorbell install -- won't connect to wifi

I ordered my doorbell way back in December and still haven't been able to get it up and running. I was finally able to install it today, and now, no matter what I do, the doorbell won't connect to wifi. Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips? The only "tip" the app gave me was to call tech support...

The doorbell camera connects to the  2.4 GHz frequency on your wifi.  So make sure that you are connecting to that.  Also, make sure you password is under 32 characters with no special characters.

As Michael above mentions, make sure it's trying to connect to 2.4 GHz frequency.  Most routers put out both 2.4 and 5.  Sometimes they are named the same, as mine is.  ie, SmithWifi, or whatever.  Others break up the two bands and name them SmithWifi and SmithWifi-5.

Make sure your wifi signal at the doorbell is good.  You could unscrew your tiny doorbell screw, and take it inside closer to your wifi router if in doubt.

@tim24 Did you receive any error message or see any blinking lights on the Video Doorbell when you were trying to install it? If the doorbell connected to your Wi-Fi but the installation could not be completed, there may have been an issue with the device itself.
