Doorbell Camera & Indoor Camera not recording Mic audio???

I have 3 outdoor cameras, an indoor camera and a doorbell camera. The outdoor cameras are recording audio coming in-and-out of it through the 2-way audio... But both indoor + doorbell camera are NOT recording what I am saying through the app (only recording 1 way)

This feels like a VERY important issue to make sure that any conversation during a recorded event at the door is properly recorded.

Hi @fowoodward ,

Unfortunately you are correct. For both the Video Doorbell Pro and the SimpliCam Indoor Camera, only the audio recorded by the camera is preserved in the recording. This is due to a limitation in that legacy camera platform.

The Wireless Outdoor Camera, and our upcoming Smart Alert Indoor Camera are both on a newer and much more advanced platform. So camera recordings from those cameras are able to include audio from the 2-Way Audio in the SimpliSafe app.

When will the doorbell camera be updated (or a newer model be available) on this advanced network? I paid a lot of money for equipment and installation which will be wasted if I have to switch to a different provider.

No change for this? I just bought the Video Doorbell Pro and I was shocked that

1) I can't speak and listen to the person outside at the same time. Unbelievable!

and

2) that my audio from the app is not recorded.

I didn't even think this could be an issue, I replaced my Ring doorbell with this one, but I will have to return it. I can't believe that I'm expected to tell the person at the door to wait to speak until I've released the microphone button lol. Are we expected to say "Over" every time?
