Doorbell camera detects motion far and near but not in between, like when every package is delivered
My wife wants us to cancel service since our doorbell camera notifies us of large trucks and buses passing in the street but does not notify us when someone walks straight up our walkway and drops a package on our front steps.
When we open the door to retrieve a package we get a notification. But motion directly at the camera goes undetected.
I have been using SimpliSafe at this house for 2 1/2 years and at my previous residence since 2016.

Hi @GolfProFred,
The Video Doorbell Pro picks up on lateral movement, so it will work best when the subject is moving across the field of view. It might help to change the angle of your Video Doorbell Pro so that people approaching your home aren't walking directly towards it. If you contact our Support team, they can send you a Horizontal Wedge for that purpose.

Is the horizontal wedge fatter on one side than the other (versus at the top than the bottom)?
