Cannot set privacy shutter settings for SSCM2 Simplicams

I recently installed two Simplicams and are using them without a monitoring plan. I also have the base station and several motion sensors.  I'm trying to check the privacy shutter settings since the blue light stays on in Home mode, which I've read means the shutter is open. When I go to camera settings, the privacy shutter menu item does not take me to any settings but stays on the same screen.  I can set picture quality, motion detection, etc for the cameras but not the privacy shutter settings.  Has anyone else run into this and possibly have a solution?

Software version 2.6.1.107

Hi @dslice,

For our customers who do not have their SimpliSafe system integrated with their SimpliCam, the Privacy Shutter can only be controlled manually by using the Privacy toggle on the Cameras tab of the SimpliSafe app.

If you would like to have the Privacy Shutter on your SimpliCam open and close automatically, you'll need to integrate your SimpliSafe system with the cameras first. To do that, open the ‚ò∞ Menu on the SimpliSafe app and then select Manage Monitoring. Once you select the location with your cameras, just follow the prompts from there to get your system integrated with your cameras.

I have the SS App on android, and no monitoring system as well. There is no "Privacy toggle" shown in the app...only an option to buy a monitoring plan.  Is the above quote a mis-print?

Thanks,
SM

Hi @scomig,

You'll want to make sure that you are looking at the Cameras tab in the SimpliSafe app. Once on that tab, you will notice a Privacy toggle switch directly across from the camera's name. If you are not seeing that, try uninstalling and reinstalling the SimpliSafe app.
