Can two or more cameras record at the same time?

@monty23psk I have a total of six cameras (doorbell, 2 outside, 3 Smart Alarm inside cameras) and all will record at the same time, when certain conditions are met. Examples: Alarm state, system armed/disarmed etc. If you are only having one, suggest you call support.

When triggered by a system event, all cameras attached to a protected location should be recording at the same time. If that's not what you're seeing, there could be a few possible issues, but three in particular come to mind:

1. Your internet service connection might not have enough bandwidth. We're concerned with the upload speed in this instance, and each camera may use 1-1.5mbps. So you want your total upload to match that - if you have five cameras, you want at least 7.5mbps upload. You may need to speak with your service provider about upgrading your internet speed.
2. Your cameras that are working differently may not actually be associated with the system - so the system isn't able to trigger them. You'll need to reset the cameras and reinstall them through the SimpliSafe app.
3. Those problem cameras may have a poor connection to your WiFi, so they might have trouble transmitting video immediately. We do have troubleshooting steps here that you can try, and of course our Support team can help walk you through them as well!
