Camera errors out on install

As I work through the steps to install a new camera from my the app on my Android phone, I get the white flashing light on the camera, scan the QR code, and then the camera attempts to connect to wifi but errors out with a message "We've detected a problem with 'null' camera"  and then the shutter closes.  Any suggestions?  Is there a way to update the firmware in these cameras?

Bought a new unit for another address, tying to install as a new account to my app( prefer to have separate accounr),  does not send code to his email..

Did you purchase your camera directly from us? What the OP describes sounds like his camera was already set up on a different account. If you still need help, give our Support a call at 888-910-1458 and we can look into your account and find out what's going on.

I am having the same exact problem as the OP. I will add that the camera and doorbell that I have were from a previous owner. Are there additional steps required to free up these devices for my use?
