Camera brackets?

I'm not finding any wall-mount brackets for the camera.  Any suggestions for solution?

Hi folks,

The SimpliSafe Indoor Camera comes with a stand, so you can place it on shelf or other surface. At this time, we do not have an available wall mounting solution.

We do also have the Wireless Outdoor Camera, which is battery-powered and fully wireless, and is designed to mount on your wall or siding. Check it out here.

There is an "outdoor kit" for the SimpliCam, which has a ball-joint mount (and 25' power cord and weather case) which is my preference but used on a ceiling does not let the camera be upright directly below it.

Mount a block of wood (or similar) to the ceiling and then mount the camera to that.

I drilled two holes in the base and screwed that to the wall.  I mounted it just below the ceiling next to a window and ran the cord up a channel next to the window trim that helped hide it.  The camera will tilt up and down, but not side to side, it was the perfect solution.

3M Command Velcro picture hangers are a great inexpensive solution. Just slide off the base stand, apply two stickers on the edges (or back for a flat wall)  and stick it up.Mounted perfectly in the corner of our family room/kitchen for a full view of the room and all access points.

SimpliSafe needs to come up with a longer, articulating mount for the outdoor camera. I’m not going to drill into the metal on front of my eaves and the tiny little mount that comes with these cameras won’t work on the inside of the eaves or anywhere on my house. I’m going to use mounting tape to put it out on my shed while I look for another solution.

Thanks for the suggestion, EvaF. We are working on a permanent mount option as well. But just so you know, the bottom of the Outdoor Camera has a screw hole that can fit a standard camera tripod mount. So you might also be able to find a third party solution that uses that standard, that can work for you.

Though the Outdoor Camera is compatible with any mount that uses the standard  1/4"-20 screw, like the one @tls suggests.

Hard to believe they didn't plan for a wall mount for the indoor camera.

It would be nice if Simplisafe sold the back piece with the screw hole that slides into the back of the indoor camera so I can use a standard wall mount. I have a SS wall mount, but cannot use it without the back piece with the screw receptacle. I contacted SS and asked about it, but all they could offer was a mounting kit, which I don't need. I read a couple of good suggestions in this thread that I will try, but SS might think about offering these odd parts for its customers.
