bell box problems

I am unable to get the new bell box to work on my gen3 alarm system. Follow the usual process to fit a new device but it does not connect to the base unit!!! Could be a faulty unit or just not compatible??? I have updated the base unit but still no joy.......any ideas?

Hi @nickmower, 

I see that you called Customer Service and will be receiving a replacement Bell Box. When setting up your new Bell Box, make sure that your Base Station is connected to Wi-Fi and then update it to the latest firmware.

@johnb2 which version of the Base Station's firmware do you currently have installed? It should be updated to the most recent version before installing the Bell Box.

I have exactly this same issue. Adding the bell box to my existing setup but there's no option either in the app or the keypad to add a bell box. I wondered if it was automatically added but it also doesn't show up in my added sensors/devices and also doesn't arm when I set my alarm? Help!!! I'm about to send it back!

@deggy92​ Do you have any Base Station firmware updates available? The Base Station does need to be up to date to install the Bell Box. If you look at your Keypad, there will be a gear icon notifying you to an update. 

If there isn't an update, I would recommend reaching out to our Support team. They'll be able to troubleshoot and get your Bell Box installed in real time.
