Anyone else having problems with video streams freezing?

This started happening when I upgraded from a Pixel 3 XL to a Pixel 4a 5G. When I stream through a camera on WiFi it will always freeze within 30 seconds. At first I thought it was the phone. I sent it back to Google and got a 12 Pro Max from Apple. The exact same thing happens. However this issue does not occur when streaming through a Pixel 2 XL or a Pixel 3. The router is the same as it was when the system was installed. It does have 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz. And that isn't a problem until using newer phones. Not really sure what to do. I've done the standard stuff. Restarted router, made sure Simplisafe was on 2.4 GHz. Neither option worked.

Having the same issue! So frustrating. I’m on an iPhone 14 pro max with latest iOS. This has been happening only for the past 2wks or so

@jaidnoire465​ the original post describes an issue from way back in 2020, so you might not be experiencing the same thing. But do you experience the same cutoff when livestreaming on a desktop through a web browser or on a different device? It would also be helpful to know if you're having trouble when connected to a different WiFi network or via cell data.

Hi Davey - Thanks for your response.  I'm only experiencing it on the app, after the last 2 app updates.  I can stream seamlessly on a browser at home or out of home wifi range.  The app will freeze after about 10 seconds of streaming and I will have to close it and relaunch to try again, but it happens continuously.

Do you run into the same issue when livestreaming on your desktop with the web app, or while on a different device? Also, have you experienced this while connected to a different Wi-Fi network or while using data?

Same here.  Didn’t start until I went from 2 to 4 cameras.  But only on I phone 13

Hi @tgritzinger​,

Are you able to view your livestream successfully on other devices or your desktop and it's just your iPhone 13 that's seeing this issue? Or are you having this issue with all of your devices?

This happens to me too, only when viewing cameras through the app. Brand new system I just installed.
