Unable to log into SimpliSafe app on version 4.56.0

I have Android (OS v12) in conjunction with latest Simplisafe app (v 4.56.0) and apparently after latest app update, I cannot login. Initially, when opening app, I was prompted with sign in/create account. When I clicked on 'sign in' I was redirected to auth.simplisafe.com. I entered my credentials, but 'continue' button did nothing. Now when I launch app and select 'sign in' when redirected to auth.simplisafe.com, I just get a blank black screen.

I've uninstalled/re-installed the Simplisafe app, restarted phone and cleared app and browser cache. In speaking with tech support, tech says he's seen this before but needed to escalate to see about a solution. I also engaged a chat session and got the impression that this behavior may be a known issue.

Is this a known issue with app v 4.56.0? I am able to authenticate from laptop browser.

Hi @rickflair2014,

 

I have a Pixel myself, and was able to log in successfully just now.

The Android App is currently up to version 4.57, as of 10/31/22. If you haven't already, I would suggest updating ASAP. That may resolve this login issue.

Thanks Davey...when I performed the uninstall/reinstall of the app yesterday, v 4.56.0 was latest version on Play Store. Last night I checked Play Store again and v 4.57.0 was available.. I updated app and still have same basic issue. After upgrade, I tried to log in. As before, on initial attempt after upgrade, I get presented with sign in/create account screen. If I choose 'sign in' I get redirected to auth screen to input credentials. Once doing that, I click 'continue' and nothing happens. Subsequent login attempts results in blank/black screen when redirected to auth url..

Ah, okay. I checked with our engineering team and we haven't heard any similar login issues with Android users. One of our specialists will try to reach out to see if we can troubleshoot your specific device.

I did work with a Simplisafe tech today and we changed the default browser from Edge to Chrome and I am no able to login through the Android app..The issue seems specific to Edge browser..
