Notifications

I noticed that my notification that I had set up for an arming reminder wasn't working. I couldn't figure out why. I finally turned on the "General Activity" push notifications in the app and they started working. Here's the problem. I don't want the push notifications every time my system is armed and disarmed. I just want the notification when I forget the arm the system before we go to bed.

Any thoughts?

If you are on iPhone, use Push instead of SMS, just deactivate General Activity.

I deactivated/turned off General Activity and still get notifications when I turn the alarm on and off. Why??

@kaustin257 So even with General Activity turned off, you still get push notifications when you arm and disarm your system? In that case, I would remove the SimpliSafe app from your phone and redownload it to see if that helps to keep you from getting those notifications.

I just added the outdoor camera and when someone comes to the door I do not get any notification.

@conceptw Do you have Motion Notifications enabled for this camera? You can turn them on in the SimpliSafe mobile app by going to My System > Camera Settings > select [your Outdoor Camera] > Motion Detection > toggle Motion Notifications on > press Save in the top right corner.
