How Can I Turn on Texts if forgot to Arm?

Automatic (or timed) arming/disarming or a notification that you forgot to arm/disarm the system are not part of SS suite of features.

If you have monitoring you can set up to receive notifications that the system has been manually armed or manually disarmed by the keypad or by the remote app. but none of that is on a timer, per se, for automatically doing it nor for issuing a reminder.

I'm not sure how long this feature has been available, but on the "dashboard" page on the app you can set an alarm to remind you to turn your alarm on.

Edit: I don't know what happened, but this feature just disappeared and I can't get it back.

Edit: I found it.  In the app, go to "Settings", "Arming Reminders"

Thanks mdolfan - I have that function turned on but it only gives a notification message on the iphone and app .  I was hoping to have it send a text message to my phone also.  The reason is that I can configure the iphone to notify me when I have do not disturb on at night for text messages.

Arming Reminders is a brand new feature that is available to both users of the Original SimpliSafe and the All-New SimpliSafe systems that are on our Interactive Monitoring plan. Currently, it is only available on iOS but our development team is hard at work getting it ready for Android as well.

Regarding @gdette's question, at this time, we are only able to send those reminders through Push Notifications but we'll let our engineers know that you'd like to see text/email as an option as well.

Ahhh, thanks for the clarification. I use the SS app on an Android phone. I'll check it out on my SO/GF's iPhone later today to see what it looks like.

Set up a notification on the GF's iPhone yesterday afternoon to check it out. Worked like a charm, albeit yeah, just a push notification. Works pretty good though because we typically know if we'll be in or out well before bedtime/work time/DND time so I think still very manageable.
