Better mobile notifications

Question

After using other security systems I decided to give SimpliSafe a chance. I like their set up and price points, but feel as if the mobile experience can be a little better. There should be options to set up notifications for arming reminders, open sensors, etc. If someone opens the back door, I want to be notified ASAP. I have children. Competitors currently offer these options and it would be great if SimpliSafe gets with the times. Test competitor systems. Improve the experience. Push yourselves to the front!

I have notifications set up for a couple of doors being open.  It eventually got annoying, so I shut them off.  I understand how you'd need it as a parent.  Any entry sensor can be set up as secret alert when the system isn't armed. That'll send notifications to your phone.

Set the system to Home.  If the kids open the door, you'll know!

Not necessarily.  The chime sound is not very loud and if you are not near the base or there is a lot of background noise (or you have poor hearing) you won't know.

If you set the alarm to home and the kid opens the door the siren goes off.  It was a bit of a joke.  :)

Another option for OP is to add some more strategically placed extra sirens. These can be setup to duplicate the door chime sound. I personally think their chime sounds funny, but it is available to you.
