About Your Admin

Hey folks,

As we patiently wait for the brand new SimpliSafe Community to launch, I figured it's as good a time as any for me to formally (re)introduce myself, as your caretaker and guide around these parts. You can call me Davey.

This summer marked my seventh year at SimpliSafe. I've been with the company since the days when all of us used to fit in the same room! Starting as a Customer Service Representative, I worked my way up the ranks, spearheading our first efforts into a dedicated email team. And that experience working directly with customers, especially with translating complicated jargon into real people speak, is what got me into this position as your forum admin.

While a fair bit of my career has revolved around customer service, my real passion is in technology - which is what truly drew me to SimpliSafe. I consider myself a jack-of-all-trades, and like to tinker with all sorts of tech platforms - Apple, Google, Windows PC, Linux on Raspberry Pi, you name it. And of course, SimpliSafe is what protects my home. I've got everything from sensors to panic buttons, to all the cameras. I'm even part of our Beta program, so from time to time I get to test some top secret products that are yet to be released! While I love to play around with all different kinds of gadgets, I really believe that the purpose of technology itself is to make human lives better, and that means making it accessible and easy to adapt into daily living. That's why I'm here - to help bring intelligent security tech into the hands of everyday people.

It's a really exciting time for us at SimpliSafe, as we continue to offer more for our customers. We've still got a lot of work to do, especially in this Community. But I'm proud to be the one taking you through it.
