System armed, monitored door opened and closed, no passcode countdown, no alarm sounding.

Our system was armed for the night when my wife came home from work. She opened a secured door with a sensor, entered the house, closed the door and walked upstairs. The chime for a sensor being opened never went off, the countdown never initiated to enter the passcode, and the alarm never went off. It’s like the system didn’t even know a sensor was tripped. My camera sent the notification there was motion but the alarm totally failed.
The base and sensor are in the same locations as when we first installed maybe a year ago. There hasn’t been any notifications of low batteries either. This is a recent issue (non prior to the last update). Is there a bug causing a loophole in my alarm system? If so, this needs to be rectified immediately.

Oh, forgot to mention that this has happened on at least 4 occasions since the latest update.

@trigg8681 first thing I recommend is not to wait for a response here, pick up the phone and call support immediately to troubleshoot. From your post not sure all of the details with your setup (instant trigger, entry delay, blue light visible etc). Please post your outcome aster you call support if you get a chance. I have not seen this behavior on my system and checked with two other friends who have not either Thanks.

@trigg8681,

I'm sorry to hear this. I am not aware of any bug that could be causing your system to act this way. I've sent your case to our Support team, a Specialist will contact you soon to get to the bottom of this!

I just saw the exact same behavior, and I was also able to reproduce it once.

I am running firmware version 2.20.4.3

System was armed in Home mode, I opened and closed our front door (right next to keypad) and there was no chime, nor did they keypad light up or prompt for passcode.

Opened and closed the door again (sensor light went off and on as expected, and sensor battery is good), and again no chime and no keypad waking up.

Opened the door and 3rd time and the sensor finally caused a chime and keypad woke up.

The alarm has one job, which is to monitor sensor status; not sure how it can possibly be failing at that singular job.

Hey @Viking_greg thanks for bringing this up. The light flashing isn't the true indicator of the sensor registering, that would be the chime you mentioned. The light however is used to determine if there is an issue with the communication between the magnet and the sensor. Since you aren't hearing the chime I would recommend starting with this page. If all of the steps are followed and it still isn't working give us a call because that sensor may need to be replaced.
