Physical installation of motion sensors

Having trouble installing motion sensors.  The double sided tape doesn't adhere securely to a stippled, painted wall.  We have tried sanding down the stippling.  Any other ideas?

The tape didn't work for me either, so I had to use the little screws for all of my motion sensors and glassbreak detectors.

I would consider screws even if you are renting.  I've had the tape bring some paint off with it a couple of times.

Use the screws provided. Theyre small and easy to patch when you remove it.

I agree with everyone else, i used the tape and i put one screw in each bracket for the motion sensor and like everyone else said the hole is small enough to put toothpaste on and cover it up.

Definitely use the screws - several of the sensors, if placed high and if they fall on floor, may cause a false alarm.

Yes, I had a false alarm recently when one of my motion detectors fell. That's when I checked to make sure they're all screwed.

My grandpa used to say "You're screwed unless you're the one doin the screwing".  Kinda applies here.  :)
