Entry sensor went offline for 14 hours
I noticed one of my entry sensors went offline for 14 hours. This is on a sliding door I almost never open. I opened it this morning and the blue led didn't flash like they usually do. I removed the sensor from the door and then it started working. I mean this stuff need to be 100%. It's only 3 months old. I sent an email to support.

Unless EVERY sensor gets this error, it's not the base.
Best debug is to change the sensor with the problem with one which does not have the problem. If the same sensor fails in the new location, it's probably a bad sensor. If the problem now appears with the sensor in the old location, then the problem is probably the location, in which case the fix is to move the sensor or the base, or remove anything newly placed between the base and the sensor.

I don't have anything unusual powered up. I have my router that's on all of the time and that's about it. And I've been through two routers since this started.
It's a shame that this is so sensitive to outside interference. The receiver for the ADT system that I had was bolted to the inside wall of the utility closet in the basement and it never once lost contact with any of the wireless sensors.
I've sunk way too much money into this system to just give it up and try something else. But there is literally nothing else in this house that I can unplug. I like the system, but it feels unreliable because of this.

2. try moving the base station slightly closer to the sensor.
3. test the sensor in a different area in the home, if you don't get the 'not responding error', chances are, the previous location was the issue (interference maybe). If you continue to get the error with it in a new location, the sensor could be faulty - call SS for replacement if within 3-yr warranty.
4. make sure the sensor and it's magnet are no further than 2 inches apart, and ideally, slightly less than that.

If you are still getting an error message immediately after pairing a sensor to your system we recommend checking the serial number of the sensor that is giving the error. In your SimpliSafe.com account, if you head to Devices in the menu and then look at your list of devices you can see what the serial number is of the sensor that is giving you the error by hovering over the device name. Once you know the serial number of the sensor that is having issues, check that against the serial number of the sensor to make sure you are troubleshooting the correct sensor.
