Entry sensor fell off door and will no longer stick for more than a few minutes.
One of the pieces of our front door sensor fell off the front door this evening setting off the open door bleep. Fortunately, we did not have the alarm on and we will not arm it tonight. Apparently, the command strip glue did not hold because the front door was quite cold (3 F outside). We will not use screws to attach the sensor because it is a fiberglass door. Can you provide a solution? Perhaps a stronger command strip? BTW: I called SimpliSafe and was forwarded to a customer service support person who was awkward in her communication and didn't seem to have a suggestion, so I'm asking here.

Ensure you properly prep the surface by cleaning it first (preferably with rubbing alcohol) and pressing the sensor to the prepared surface for at least 30 seconds. Also, make sure they are indeed 3M strips. I know it may seem unnecessary, but the company was shipping an off-brand adhesive strip with the new systems and components. I do not know if that is still the case. The ones that came with my second system in 2018 were from a company I never heard of, and I did have a Keypad and Motion Sensor fall as a result. It was not until I replaced them with 3M Command strips that I no longer worried (and I have not one screw attached to any of my sensors or components).

I use Velcro Extreme Outdoor on all of my system components while being away for up to 8 months and have never had one adhesive failure on a two year system. Measure the system component and cut the strips to fit. When mounting stick one strip to the component, attach the other strip to it velcro to velcro, then peel the final and stick to your surface holding firmly for about 30 seconds. Problem solved!
