@david.crouch07 yes there is. Two ways: first, use the door chime, 2nd secret alerts. Highly recommend you use the phone app push alerts as they are more reliable and quicker, but you can use SMS or email alerts too, or any combination.
BTW, to use secret alerts you do need a monitoring plan.
MY garage door is open. I'm in the house. I want the motion sensor to be able to arm and disarm at the door into the house. As soon as whoever enters my garage the motion sensor would go off. I could also use this in a bedroom we want to leave the window open all night to cool the house, This way we get airflow without bars on the window.
