Different chime for entry sensors

We need the ability to add and/or create custom sounds for each entry sensor. For example, at the front door when it opens the chime would be "Front Door Open".

Hi liquidcable,

Thanks for checking in. Yes, that's an often-requested feature. We'll add your voice to the chorus for our dev team!

I know this is an older thread but it came up first in the search so...today I am testing my system carrying around the base station and the Front door sensor announced "Front Door" also had one other sensor that announced the actual programmed name. None of the others did. Is this possibly a precursor to something good on the horizon or have I been having another "moment"??

Hi radiojoe,

The Gen3 SimpliSafe system does have voice prompts for some of the pre-generated sensor names - for example, if you select "Living Room" or "Garage" from the list.
At this time, those voice prompts are used only during Test Mode, so you can more easily identify which sensor is triggering.

Outside of Test Mode, the voice prompts are currently not used.

Johnny M.,
Thanks much for the info. Have a great day!

@davey_d why is this a test feature only? If I'm in my bedroom and an entry sensor chimes, I would like to know if my 3 year old went out the front door or back door. If the ability is already there can we just choose between chime or voice prompts like other security systems?

@sddillon90 that is just the way the system was designed. I hear you about this new feature, though! We currently have a thread for the request here. This has been submitted to our dev team, and if/when this feature is added, we'll provide an update there.
