Basement Bilco Doors

We have Bilco doors in the basement. Originally we were able to put a sensor on that door but with the condensation from outside (the doors are metal and angled) the sensor kept getting wet and stopped working. Any suggestion as to how to get a sensor on that door to work with the condensation?

Hi @Clickstreams,

We do not recommend placing the Entry Sensor directly on a metal surface because it can cause the sensor to demagnetize and damage it.

What I would recommend is adding a buffer between both pieces of the Entry Sensor and the Bilco door to prevent any damage. This can be anything like a piece of cardboard, or an extra layer of adhesive - like those thick velcro adhesive strips.
