Arming with open sensor

Does anyone else have an issue with open sensors and the system not notifying them when arming?
Last night, I had left my garage door open, and had set the alarm to Home when I went to bed. Well, I didn't realize my garage had been open all night. Eek! Luckily, no harm was done.
However, I don't want the system to arm if I have an open sensor. Or at the very least, I want my app to notify me when I try to arm the system. I have kiddos who go in and out often and we may forget a door or window...
Any troubleshooting for this?

When arming system the base station always says warning front door entry sensor open or what ever sensor is open so do you here the base station saying this?

Wow I finally have a problem! Neat.  So yeah Im seeing this issue as well. I have a sensor not responding, I think its defective. I have a spare but havnt gotten around to swapping it yet.

Anyways, since the last update I am no longer notified via the base voice that a sensor is not responding. Not a huge deal since the text alerts notified me when it happened and to be completely honest its been rather nice not listening to her explain what i already knew, but it is an issue none the less.

If you wait long enough before updating, you always find the thing that is broken as a result of the update.  I still haven't updated.  My system is working find and I haven't found a compelling reason to do so.
