Alarm sounds when lightning strikes

Lightning struck very near my home and my SimpliSafe alarm sounded for about two seconds and then stopped. the history shows no trigger. Has anyone seen this?

A couple of years ago as I was getting off a plane in another city, I got a call saying that my alarm was triggered.   I told them not to call the Sheriff’s office.  I checked the camera and saw through the windows that a nasty thunderstorm was occurring.   I figured that either lightening or thunder had set off the alarm.  That was the only time it happened.

Our motion sensor triggered while we slept. We did have storms in the area with lightning. Tech support told us to change battery and update software. System is less than 3 years old. Lighting?

@mcsci If the lightning from that storm was able to send a sudden burst of light or heat into the room where the Motion Sensor is located, that could have caused it to trigger a false alarm.
