Ability to activate sensors used on now deactivated system?

@waysafe if you remove a sensor from your system, that sensor can be reused on any other SS system of the same model. Please note that they must be the same system type as SS2 and SS3 sensors are not compatible with each other.

Actually, you can define a sensor to as many systems as you want.  If they are "in range", all will work with all systems.

I have one system in my house and one in my motorhome.  The house system is monitored and the motorhome system is not (because I'm too cheap to do it when it's parked next to my house and it does not make sense while "on the road")

So I have the motorhome sensors also defined to the home system, which means that system is "sort of" monitored for free when it is parked at home.  And when I'm on the road, the house system whines about the missing sensors, but it has no negative impact on me.

I think the reason that sevensiamesecats can do that is because the motorhome is not monitored.  If it were, then I wonder if the database would say "you can't have the same sensor on 2 systems".  

I got a new base, and the database kept rejecting the door lock because it wasn't setup on the new system.  I had to reset the doorlock and add it, but that seemed to be based off info stored in the lock itself.

I knew it was the database, and not the base station, because the lock would add, then during the calibration process, or right after, it would get kicked out of the system.

I'd be willing to bet that monitoring has no impact on multi-system definitions.  Why would they care enough to put that additional validation step in?
