Your Extra Siren is 4 times louder than the alarm built into your Base Station at a whopping 105dB, so it's sure to get the attention of any uninvited guests. It can also play a door chime when Entry Sensors are open, and a countdown when the entry or exit delays are triggered. The Extra Siren is rated for both indoor and outdoor use, so you can install it anywhere within your home such as near the front door or outside, under an eave.

If you want to mount your Extra Siren on a wall, make sure the surface has been wiped clean and has had time to dry.
If you want to screw mount your Extra Siren, you will also need your own Phillips Head screwdriver.
How to add the Extra Siren in the SimpliSafe® Mobile App
Open the SimpliSafe® Mobile App on your smartphone or tablet
Navigate to the three-bar menu on the upper left corner and select Add Device or Camera
Select Siren from the list of available products
How to Pair the Extra Siren to Your System
Pull out the battery tab from the back of the device
Press and release the setup button on the top of the device
Once the setup button has been pressed, the Base Station should say “Siren”
Choose a name for the device by selecting one of our pre-populated names, or select Custom Name at the bottom of the screen to input your own
How to Mount the Extra Siren
Bring the Extra Siren to its desired location if you have not already
The Extra Siren can be installed inside or outside
We recommend putting the Extra Siren near a front door to ward off intruders, or under an eave to alert neighbors
Note: the Extra Siren is water-resistant, not waterproof. If putting it outside, it should be placed under a cover, such as an awning, to prevent water damage
How to Mount the Extra Siren With its Adhesives
Clean the desired surface using rubbing alcohol
Wait for the surface to dry completely
Peel the plastic backing off of the adhesive strips on the back of the Extra Siren
Press and hold the Extra Siren in place for 30 seconds, making sure that its setup button is facing up
How to Mount the Extra Siren With its Included Screws
Slide the Extra Siren up and off its mounting bracket
Secure the mounting bracket to the surface using a phillips head screwdriver and the included screws
Slide the Extra Siren back on the mounting bracket
