Is a Permit Needed for a SimpliSafe® Security System?

Certain police departments require permits for alarms. Once you have activated your SimpliSafe® Monitoring Service, the permit requirements for your area will be made available on your online account. You can navigate to Menu > Monitoring, and look for the Alarm Permit Requirements section on the bottom right.

If you are not yet ready to activate Monitoring Service or have further questions, please send an email to permits@simplisafe.com with the full address you are installing your alarm system so that we can provide you with the most permit accurate information for your area.

If you have your permit application and you need help, please reference the following information.  If you need more information, please send an email to permits@simplisafe.com with the full address you are installing your alarm system.
