How To Update Your Payment Method

You can update your payment method at any time within the SimpliSafe® Mobile or Web App.

Please note that we are no longer able to accept and process pre-paid cards. If you’re paying with a pre-paid card, follow the instructions below to update your payment method to an accepted one for professional monitoring service plans.

We accept VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

Adding a New Card via the Mobile App:

  1. Open the SimpliSafe® Mobile App.

  2. Navigate to the three-bar menu on the top left corner of the app.

  3. Select “Plan & Billing” from the navigation menu.

    1. If you do not see “Plan & Billing”, you are in the Web App. Scroll down for instructions on how to update your payment method in the Web App.

  4. If you have multiple locations, select the location on the top of the screen that you’d like to change your payment method for.

  5. Tap on the Credit Card field.

  6. Next, select “Payment Method” to add a new credit card to your account.

  7. Use the secure form to enter your payment information, then choose Submit at the bottom of the screen to save your information.

    1. This new credit card will automatically be set as your default payment method.

  8. If you have multiple properties with professional monitoring, repeat these steps for each location, as necessary.

Adding a New Card via the Web App:

  1. Head over to webapp.simplisafe.com using the web browser of your choice

  2. Click on monitoring from the left-hand navigation menu

  3. Choose Edit under Credit Card. This can be found in the blue banner at the top of the screen

  4. A pop up will appear asking you to add a new credit card or edit an existing one 

  5. To add a new credit card, select “Add a new credit card” then hit submit

  6. Fill out the secure form with your credit card information and click on submit once you’re done

    1. This new card will automatically be set as your default payment method

  7. If you have multiple properties with professional monitoring, repeat these steps for each location, as necessary

Deleting a Card From Your Account

If you need to remove or delete a card from your account, please contact our support team for assistance. They can remove the card in question and assist you with anything else you might need.
