How to Add New Sensors to My Existing SimpliSafe® System?

Updated

A Keypad that says Home on its screen

Does your Keypad look like the one pictured to the left? Then you're in the right place! You've got the Gen 3 SimpliSafe system. If you purchased a system in 2017 or earlier, you have the Original SimpliSafe. Click here to view the article about the Original SimpliSafe. If you're not certain which system you have, you can tell the difference here.

New Entry Sensors, Motion Sensors, Glassbreak Sensors, Water Sensors, Temperature Sensors, and/or Smart Locks can be added to our latest SimpliSafe® system in one of two ways: through the SimpliSafe® Mobile App or through the Keypad.

If you’d like to add a camera or Smoke/CO detector to your system, this can only be done using the SimpliSafe® Mobile App. Please refer to your camera or detector’s install guide in our Help Center for more information on adding it to your system.
