Doorbell Ring on the Wireless Siren

Just an idea. Can the siren ring when the doorbell is pushed?

Hi,

Thanks for the suggestion. Yes, as mentioned, the Wireless Siren can relay only the following:

  • Entry (door/window) Chime
  • Countdown timers for Entry and Exit
  • Main alarm siren

At this time, it is not able to relay the ring from the Video Doorbell Pro, since it's already designed to plug into a wired doorbell system, which would have its own bell already.

But thank you for the suggestion!

@davey_d please add my name to the list of customers that would like this feature added! Although the Video Doorbell does a great job of ringing my wired house doorbell, those bells are only inside my rental house. I have the Wireless Siren outside on my deck. Having the Video Doorbell ring through the Wireless Siren would be awesome!!!

@davey_d This would be a great feature as there are some situations where you don't have an existing doorbell chime.  For example, in my home I was able to add a direct power connection for the doorbell with a transformer and such, but I don't have an existing wired doorbell system.  So the chime is only heard on my phone and through the base station.  It would be super helpful to have the extra siren chime as well so I could hear it throughout my home.

@davey_d if a customer has the technical skill to install a part to its door chime to get the doorbell pro to work I am confident that the same customer would be able to connect a small transmitting antenna so that it could alert the auxiliary siren to chime.  Even with someone like me with 10 thumbs putting in a communication board in the base or connecting a capacitor to my chimes is not beyond my skill level.

Please provide feedback to the product development team that where there is a will there is a way

@mdougllas We have previously submitted this feature request to our devs for their consideration, but we'll bubble it back up to them!
