Insurance Certificate

I have both the water sensor and the temperature sensor installed. Both have been tested, as I did with my smoke/CO2 detector. However, when I download the Insurance Certificate, “water/freeze” is not checked. How do I correct this?

Hi @jmriddle66, 

When you put your Water and/or Temperature Sensors into Test Mode, it should check off the Water/Freeze section in your Monitoring Certificate. You can do this by taking the following steps:

  1. On your Keypad, press Menu, and then type in your PIN
  2. Navigate to Test Mode
  3. On your Temperature Sensor, press the test button on the top of the sensor until the Base Station says "Temperature Sensor"
  4. On the SimpliSafe app (or the webapp), head over to your Timeline. You should see a new entry for a successful Temperature Sensor test
  5. Then, repeat steps 3 and 4 for your Water Sensor
  6. Back on your Keypad, exit Test Mode by pressing the left side of the screen

If the above steps do not check off the Water/Freeze box on your Monitoring Certificate, I would reach out to our Support team. They will be able to remedy this for you.

Note: If the sensor was not purchased directly with Simplisafe, you will need to contact support to get the sensor registered.
