@mikesilva1971 think of the smoke sensor like any other sensor. Go to the web dashboard or your keypad, go to add device and then push the test button on the smoke sensor. It should read "sensor added", then hit save. Make sure to test it after your install to make sure it was done properly. If you have doubts, call Simplisafe support to walk you through.
