Smoke Detector Alerts on SimpliSafe App
Purchased two smoke detectors and installed them on our home system. During testing the detectors work great. I'm wondering in the event of a real alert from the detectors, would we receive notification via the SimpliSafe app that we have a smoke detector alert? And if so, does our system need to set to either "Home or Away" for this to happen or would we still receive an alert via the SimpliSafe App if our system is set to "Off"

Hi @rjlaraway,
When the Smoke Detector goes off, our monitoring center will call the Primary Contact on your account. If they do not answer, or do not cancel the alarm, the fire department will be sent to the location of your system.
Likewise, you will also receive a push notification from the SimpliSafe app when the Smoke Detector goes off. It does not matter if your system is in Home Mode, Away Mode, or Off - you will always receive a push notification.
