Smart lock issues
For a while now, I've been having issues with my smart lock (v1) that I just can't seem to solve.
The issue is that the lock often (though not always) refuses to close entirely. It frequently stops halfway. Additionally to this is that the lock seems to recognize it isn't fully locked, and either opens a bit later, or try to lock itself again.
Another issue is that often (again, not always) the lock tries to close itself while the door is open.
I've read several posts about this, and tried various things (sometimes more than once), such as:
- recalibration of the lock
- new batteries in both lock and entry sensor
- removing, resetting, and reinstalling both lock and entry sensor
- making sure it's updated to the latest firmware (actually, I think the issues may have started after one of the last firmware installs)
The odd thing is that, with recalibration, the door will in fact fully lock, only to stop going the entire way an hour later.
I can verify that the lock (when it only goes halfway) does not get blocked by the bolt. It also happens, for example, when the door is open, which also illustrates this. The bolt also moves quite smoothly, making me feel that it isn't a power (strength?) issue either.
Does anyone have any other suggestions I could try at this point?

@svache If you have an Entry Sensor paired to your Smart Lock, it should not auto-lock until the Entry Sensor sends the signal that the door is closed. As a first step, it can help to unsync the Entry Sensor from the Smart Lock and then sync it again.
We also recommend adjusting the placement of the Base Station to resolve both issues highlighted in your post. If the Smart Lock can calibrate successfully, and there doesn't seem to be any physical barriers preventing the deadbolt from moving all the way, a weak connection between the Base Station and the Smart Lock/Entry Sensor could be the culprit.
Try moving the Base Station next to the Smart Lock and observe its behavior. If the Smart Lock responds as intended, that would indicate that the devices had a weak connection with the Base Station at its previous location. In that case, consider permanently relocating the Base Station to an area the closer to the Smart Lock.
