cover over the door lock batteries

The cover over the batteries on the inside part of the door lock will not stay on.  It seems to click when it is replaced but when someone slams the door the cover falls off.  Anyone had this experience?

@ johnr1568 my cover fits fine but support can troubelshoot with  you and, if necessary, replace the lock under warranty.

I tried to get a replacement for this but customer support sent me the wrong part, twice. They don’t seem to know how to identify or replace this part, even though I told them it was the battery cover.  They first sent me the alarm pad battery cover, then the steel tailpiece for mounting the lock.  Let me know if you had any luck.

Sorry about that! in this case, it's because we don't have the battery cover currently available as a standalone item that we can ship. But I can send you a replacement for the whole thing, and you can just send back what you don't need (with free shipping, of course).

I'll DM you to get started.

Davey (or whomever is Customer Support).  I have this same issue.  I called in to the customer support line a few months ago about this, but I was told this was not an available part to send to me.  The battery door came off like the customer above described one too many times and one of my dogs chewed it up.  Can I get this part?  I have a black lock.

@brianhash​ apologies, we might not have the black Smart Lock in stock (due to ongoing supply chain issues). But we might be able to send just the cover - an ability that was just given to our Support team in the past few months. Please give us a call again at 800-548-9508 and we'll see what we can do.

@brianhash​ same story here. It finally came off whe we didn't notice and the dog destroyed it.  I'll call customer service to get a replacement.

Same thing happened with one of my customers. To the point where they’ve lost the cover. Anybody know if I can order just the battery cover in obsidian?
