Outdoor Sensor for Driveways and Yards

A driveway sensor would be an option that I would love to have. Out in the country we like to have a bit of warning when someone comes up the driveway.

If you have a gate, an entry sensor would work, if within range of the base.

There is a problem with car security parked in a driveway, you have the capability to make an optional alarm that would alert owners if their car is being tampered with in the driveway, a small version that uses cellular to call owner immediately if any motion is detected in car or possible vibration.  I do not know of any product that would accomplish this that is made today.  Many technically significant criminals now can enter a  car by picking the key lock and the factory car alarm is thereby defeated.  Programming a code take a little time, but instead of viewing criminals stealing cars we need a way to have immediate knowledge primarily during the night.

It is possible to make an addition to existing alarm systems, but in a driveway the signal may not be strong enough to reach the base station - and it needs to call owner immediately, not call center.

Hi @media1 ,

For the foreseeable future, SimpliSafe is really focused on guarding against intruders into the home. Though we do already have the Wireless Outdoor Camera, which can watch over your property outdoors.

The Outdoor Camera, like our other cameras, cannot trigger an actual alarm. But it is able to send a Push Notification on your phone when there's motion in view.
