Glass break sensor

What loss of sensitivity will occur if the sensor cannot be mounted  to be pointed directly at the window glass?

@rceen Best bet is to call SS support and ask. When first installed my system and for troubleshooting a very elusive problem I emailed my house floor plan. I can tell you I have a glass break sensor in my kitchen eating area, with it mounted on the left side of the section being covered and extends approx. 14 feet to a bay window.  Suggest you temporarily use a bit of painters tape (roll it) and put system in test mode, make sure base voice is on loud, and clap your hands next to the window(s) being covered. If you hear "break sensor" you are good to go!

Good luck and post your outcome here.

@rceen We agree with Captain11, the best way to see if your Glassbreak Sensor will still monitor your window is by temporarily placing it in the area you want, putting your system into Test Mode, and then walk to the window you want to protect and clap your hands ones.

If the Base Station announces "Glassbreak Sensor", that means that the sensor can monitor the window from its placement. But if the Base Station does not, that indicates that the Glassbreak Sensor needs to be moved to a different area.
