Cannot disable device from Chiming

INTRODUCTION:  I am a new client of SimpliSafe and I have serviced many different brands of alarm systems for many years.  Usually there is a feature that allows a person to disable a device (ie. motion, entry, fire, etc) sensor.  This ability is in place for alarms but not for chimes to the Base Station.  This is the reason for my contact today.

FEATURE:  In the SimpliSafe sandbox this feature exists but only during an alarm condition.  I would respectfully request a feature that would allow a person to disable any device without needing to remove it completely.

HISTORY:  My situation occurred this morning where I had a motion sensor that became defective.  The base station was chiming an alert and I couldn't turn it off without disabling Voice Prompts for the entire system.  I had no other logical choice except to delete the faulty device and that stopped the chiming from the Base Station.

REQUEST:  I would like to disable a device from settings so that it will not chime at the Base Station when the device is faulty.

Thanks for listening!  Can I have this feature very soon?  I am an App Developer and adding this feature would be simple in my opinion.  I would add it for free!! ;)

Sincerely,

@dbaerwaldt First, we just want to note that we edited your post to remove your name and number. The Community is a public-facing site, and we want to protect the privacy of all of our customers.

It sounds like you were experiencing the system's Trouble Signal. This is a three-note chime that sounds to alert you of a potential issue with your system - like if a sensor is Offline or Not Responding.

There is no way to remove this setting, but you can make the sound quieter, or turn it off completely using the Keypad. To do this, press the Menu button on the Keypad > enter your Master PIN > Trougle Signal and then choose your desired volume setting.

And even with the Trouble Signal volume turned off, you will still be notified of any of these issues silently via the Keypad.
