You have to call SimpliSafe and request one. I had to do it years ago when I had the older system and lost mine. They did not charge me, and if I recall correctly, sent two or three for future losses (but it never happened again).
I am having the same problem and now my fob is not working hope it's only the battery and not something worse because of not having a cap on. I had it on my key chain and it made contact with my other keys.
The best option would be to touch base with our Customer Support Team. They can look over replacements with you for your Key Fob, given that it's missing the cap. You can contact them directly with the details here.
