Hi @bw_sub ,
Yes, you're right. The software for the Easy Setup Wizard is no longer able to run on modern operating systems. So the only way to configure advanced settings for the Original SimpliSafe is through the SimpliSafe app - which does require at least the $17.99 Standard Monitoring Plan to enable.
With the last generation of SimpliSafe system (Gen 3), all settings were moved to just the Keypad. But it also has WiFi, which enables App Controls even without a subscription.
