Can you answer the door using the device itself or do you have to use your phone’s microphone etc?

Hi @amac1952,
To speak through your Video Doorbell, you do need to press down on the microphone button in the SimpliSafe mobile app and use your phone's microphone. You can learn more about the Video Doorbell's two-way audio here in our Help Center.
