Duplicate doorbell camera notifications
Whenever there's a doorbell event - motion or a ring - I get 2 notifications from the app on my phone.
My wife has the app installed on her phone but she only gets a single notification.
I must have something configured differently in my app but I can't find what it is. Any suggestions about what would cause this?

While we are actively working on a permanent fix for this bug, there's a workaround that should remove any additional push notifications that you are all receiving. Try these steps:
Once you've performed these steps reply here to let us know how they worked for you!

Using a Samsung S9 and iPhone XR here. If I simply arm or disarm the system I receive one notification but, there is a catch.
Bear in mind when you arm or disarm the system, the system activates the cameras. If you have motion alerts set on the cameras they will also send their own notifications during the minute or so they are activated in conjunction with arm/disarm action.
In my system I have a camera (an indoor camera) that watches the keypad and entry door. If I disarm the system and remain still when the camera is active I get just one notification for the system disarm. However, if I move during the time the camera is active I get additional notifications for camera motion, three notifications total the last time. One system notification and two camera notifications for motion detection.
If you have an iPhone also be sure you consider turning off Repeat Alerts. Go to Settings > Notifications > Messages and scroll down. Select Repeat Alerts and then change it from Once to Never, or however many times you want the alert to repeat.
If you have a Samsung there can be a similar function "Notification Reminders" that can seem like multiple notifications. Go Settings > Notifications then way at the bottom in "Looking for something else?" select Notification Reminders and you can change it there.
My guess is between those two things you'll find they may explain and or help address some cases of multiple notifications/alerts.

I've not been all that impressed with my system. My doorbell constantly loses connection despite having upgraded my internet and having a brand new router. My doorbell will still not record video saying its lost connection when my router is 10ft away... Along with this notification issue and things just not working smoothly I've come very close to canceling and selling my equipment.

Some things I've tried:
-Restarted my phone (LG V20 Android 8.0)
-Uninstalled the app
-Restarted Simplisafe hub (pulled batteries for 10ish seconds)
I've been having this issue since mid November and have just been quietly awaiting a fix. Are there any updates on a fix time frame?

If it helps them troubleshoot, my wife is set up to receive the notifications as well, and she only receives 1 per event. We have the same phone, running the same version of android, the same version of the simplisafe app, on the same service (republic wireless.)

We've tried uninstalling the app, restarting the phone, and re-installing the app. It doesn't make a difference, we still get 6 notifications for each event.
I don't understand how they haven't fixed this issue after so many months and so many complaints.
