Sensor Issues

I thought it was just me having sensor issues over and over randomly. It seems to be a flaw and is really annoying and what's more it's the closest censor to the system control and is set perfect. Very annoying when all set for bed and getting censor errors

Hi @markcosgriff ,

We do have a wireless system, so sensor connectivity issues are one of the most common type that we encounter. Of course, we've got troubleshooting steps that can help!

First, we can discount range as being the problem, since you mentioned you're having trouble with a sensor that is very close to the Base Station (the tower - which is what I assume you mean by 'system control'). The sensors do have a range of 800ft+ as well.

The second concern is battery life; the lower the battery is, the less power is available for the transmission. But most of the sensors have an expected battery life of 3-5 years, so that might not be it, either.

The most likely problem then is interference. That can be caused by dense physical objects that are literally getting in the way or even blocking the signal. We're talking heavy materials like brick, stone, or metal, big appliances, or wire shelving. The easiest thing to try is to move either the Base Station or the sensor so that these dense objects are no longer in the way. Sometimes just moving components a foot or two in a different spot can make all the difference.
