Track a stolen camera?
Someone stole a camera we had temporarily mounted outside to monitor our dumpster during construction. This is after a month of having a work van stolen, our storage unit broken into, and two in-house burglaries. I think they're related. Is it possible for SimpliSafe to monitor whether or not that camera is ever brought online and if so, where we can try and track it down? I would think they'd know the MAC address and serial number of every camera that gets activated and what account or IP address it's associated with.

Sorry to hear that you had an incident!
I'm assuming that you have not yet removed the camera from your account. If so, then it would still be locked to your account, and nobody would be able to activate it on theirs.
That being said, our protocol for any break-in situation is to have a Specialist reach out to see what we can do to help (including, but not limited to, getting you a new camera at no cost). We'll have someone reach out ASAP!
