Outdoor Camera Spotlight Issue; Spotlight turns on while Night Vision is set to Standard

I have 5 Outdoor cameras; All have their Night Vision settings set to ‘On’ and the mode set to ‘Standard’ (not Spotlight). However, while viewing a live feed at night, the cameras spotlight still turns on. I do not want them to turn on. Is this a known issue or are they supposed to function this way? Please advise of a fix or solution to resolve this issue. All cameras are currently updated with software, v1.10.2.368. Thank you!

@Jackpot_Joe wouild definitely call SS to troubleshoot but with 5 outdoor cameras (and maybe more..doorbell, simpliscam?)  you may be having a bandwidth issue. I readily admit I don't know the cause but calling Support is the best option.

Please post your outcome here if you get a chance. Thanks!

@captain11 Thanks for your input, it's much appreciated. I have 1 G service on my property with eero WiFi 6E mesh network installed throughout. My average speeds are 1.4 Gbps downloads and 42 Mbps uploads. I don't have very many devices on my network, especially during the overnight hours when the Outdoor Camera's are experiencing the issue. So I don't think it's a bandwidth issue. I'm guessing it's more of an internal device issue, though we shall see. Nevertheless, I'll contact support if nothing else becomes of this post, and I'll be certain to update with how everything turns out. Thanks again!

Hi @Jackpot_Joe,

The Spotlight certainly shouldn't be coming on if you have your Outdoor Camera set to "Standard". I would recommend rebooting your camera by taking out the battery, leaving it out for a few seconds, and then re-assembling it. If you find that rebooting doesn't help, I would reach out to our Support team and they can help you troubleshoot live.

@emily_s Thank you for the reply, it's much appreciated! I had just replaced the batteries on all 5 Outdoor Cameras the night before. Thus, with each battery change/swap, the unit would have been without it's battery for at least 30 seconds. Therefore, each Outdoor Camera would have been rebooted in that manner. Since this action of rebooting by replacing the batteries didn't solve the issue, I'll be certain to reach out to the support team for troubleshooting the issue. I'll post the results afterwards so all can see what the problem is/was. Thanks again!
