Outdoor Camera Motion Push Notification in AWAY mode

Long time user. I really appreciate the outdoor camera updates but this function of the camera only recording/notifications when armed has to be added. Can we at least get confirmation that this is being worked on? 

Can an admin please comment that this feature is at least on the roadmap? Simplisafe has been great but the market has caught up and these advanced features are out there. I do not want to completely start over with a system but as the gap in the simplisafe/app features grow wider compared to the competition it becomes a conversation.

Just added outdoor camera to my system.  Found out it doesn't work with the rest of my system to function as Home/Away/Off.  Agree with this post, can't believe you would release a product that doesn't fully integrate into your system. When I hit 'off' I want all my component off, when I hit 'away' I want all my components active.  Please fix. 

Agree - I'm not sure why Simplisafe would design the outdoor cameras to be armed completely separately from the rest of the system (and from each other).  The only solution I got from support was to turn it off separately, which means I have to remember to turn it on every night and when we're away or else it's constant buzzing on my phone.

To add to this. I've had this for 10 days and the battery has already run out. This is hardly a surprise as its making c100 recordings a day but obviously is unusable so am about to get into the returns process

Me too please. The outdoor camera and doorbell camera need to have a simple toggle to only have motion events and recordings when the system is armed. This should be an EASY fix to code in and blast out in an update and would make these cameras so much better without having to choose between getting spammed with notifications and draining the battery life by having motion events on in the cameras' current state or turning motion events all the way off and having to toggle on in the app every time you want to arm the system and record. Thank you in advance for making this change a priority. 🙏🏻

I leave system off when home and turn motion detection off during the day on outdoor cameras and then turn back on at night. Seems to work fairly good. 

FIX THIS SIMPLISAFE. WAY TOO BASIC TO NOT HAVE THIS FEATURE AS AN OPTION

Adding my vote to the list for turning off notifications when system is not armed.  Recently got the system and this is the biggest disappointment. 

This needs to happen. Getting notifications from my outdoor cameras constantly while the system is "off" is super irritating. Hopefully our voices are being heard.

Just installed 2 cameras with the same notification issue. I also installed an indoor in the garage and it has an option in the setup to close shutter in alarm is off. Please add my name to the list of people that want that functionality added to outdoor cameras.

Can simplisafe respond? I just received my system and am already ready to return it due to the outdoor camera and doorbell not being in tune with the rest of the system. Had I known this I never would have purchased in the first place. Really makes me concerned about other issues the system may have or what will happen when other problems arise if they can't fix something so simple. 

As a new SimpliSafe user (within 2 months) this is by far my biggest gripe with the system to date. I called support and the technician suggested that limiting mode features per camera for off/home/away is a feature for the indoor motion cam, but not the outdoor cam.

This makes zero sense to me and I'm hoping an update can be pushed out with this functionality soon. To expect users to go into their app settings and enable/disable motion events for each outdoor cam every time they leave or come home as a means to prevent constant pings is ridiculous.

Yesterday morning I disabled camera notifications for my deck.  Between my wife and I, we probably make 4 to 6 trips out of the deck each day.  Last night I forgot to go into the Simplisafe app and turn my camera back on.  So my level of security was reduced.  So when will they fix this design flaw?   Yes, I should have remembered to turn my camera back on, but imagine how I would feel if that was the night I really needed the camera to be active!
