Not compatible with Broan-NuTone? Circa 1988?!
When I connect to the Braun, Nutone, mechanical chime, it will not stop ringing. It will not charge the doorbell. If I connect it directly to the transformer bypassing the chime the doorbell works great. Wife and I really want to keep our beautiful long bar chime, I’ve tried the chime connector that SimpliSafe was quick to send. Also tried new doorbells thinking that might be the problem but it wasn’t.

Our Video Doorbell Pro is designed for mechanical analog doorbell systems, and I have heard that it has trouble with some NuTone type doorbells specifically due to the difference in the circuit. Unfortunately there might not be a solution for the Video Doorbell Pro other than to switch to a simpler doorbell chime.
Alternately, you might be interested in the Wireless Outdoor Camera. It can watch over anyone approaching your doorway - just like the Video Doorbell Pro - but you'll have the freedom of positioning it anywhere.
