Is an Analog Doorbell absolutely necessary for SS Video Doorbell

I have two SS doorbells.  We use the chime on the base station for the doorbell ring. Does the SS video doorbell absolutely need an analog doorbell to function or can you wire directly to a 16v transformer and use the Chime Connector to regulate voltage?

You do not need a chime box for the video doorbell pro to work.

Thx —- are the SS chime connectors still necessary without the chime box(for the two doorbell cameras)?

I'm going to defer to @davey_d on this one. I'm guessing that, if you don't have the proper power supplied, whether you have a chimebox or not, you would still benefit from a chime box. I'm also 99% certain there's no harm in installing the chimebox at all (assuming it's installed correctly).

This does not work with a 1984 analog chime box, I pushed the button, the doorbell chimes then keeps chiming every 20 seconds. The doorbell camera may have a relay inside that should deactivate once pushed. Even the special circuit that is supposed to help did not. The internal circuits of the doorbell camera remain engaged as if someone is pushing the button all the time. Two cameras and nothing worked.

I have more questions:

1) What voltage, exactly, is your transformer?

2) Can you please check and confirm that the chime connector is a) wired correctly and b) not touching anything it isn't supposed to be touching?
