Intelligent Motion Detection Algorithm Questions on the new Outdoor Camera
I currently have a SimCam outdoor camera with AI. It was one of the early adopters and honestly, it's done pretty well overall.
The two parts that I need for an AI camera to be useful are:
1. On-board processing - I have slow internet and don't want a system that needs to stream back to a server 24/7 just for notifications
2. The ability to toggle Animal/Vehicle/Person on/off individually. At our place, we need to see vehicles more than anything. There's not much of a chance that someone is going to walk to our place without driving to it first.
So my two questions for the new outdoor camera are basically those.
Is the neural network(s) running on the camera itself?
Can I get notifications for vehicles and people, but ignore (or at least separate the alarm) animal alerts?
Thank you,
Brad

It's helpful to know that video isn't sent to the server until after a recording is triggered. So smart person detection is done onboard, so the cam can decide if it should be sending info or not.
But yes, you can choose to turn of Person-Only detection to be notified of all motion.
@Worthing,
Yep! The Outdoor Camera also has custom Activity Zones.

All alerts go to your phone just the same (i.e. you get a notification that motion was detected, but you won't get a different message for each type). The setting just determines if the alert happens for a particular trigger or not.
