Duplicate doorbell camera notifications

Whenever there's a doorbell event - motion or a ring - I get 2 notifications from the app on my phone.

My wife has the app installed on her phone but she only gets a single notification.

I must have something configured differently in my app but I can't find what it is. Any suggestions about what would cause this?

Edit: ...and I'm back to getting duplicates again. Sigh.

Same issue here! 5 notifications for doorbell cam. One day this week it switched back to one! How exciting!!! Only to go back to 5 again now! Pleeeease fix this!!

Well, it worked for my wife for one day only. Now she's back to getting 2 notifications for every doorbell event.

SimpliSafe - what's going on? It seems almost as if a fix was made and then backed out. Please keep us posted regularly.

Yes, in the process of trying to fix this bug that is causing multiple notifications for some of our users another bug was introduced. Rest assured, we're making sure to stay on top of this issue so that we can get this resolved as quickly as possible.

Everything had been fixed except the Doorbell until today. Now I'm back up to 6 per camera. Just FYI.

Hi all,

Yesterday evening we released a fix for this duplicate notification issue that some of our customers have been experiencing. Our Android users should see the results immediately while our iOS users should make sure to apply the latest update (2074.53.0) from the App Store. If anyone continues to have this issue, please let us know.

UPDATE: Thank you!!!! For about a week I have getting single push notifications for events. Thanks for diligently working and finding a fix!

Ditto to all the above. Started getting double notifiactions on all 4 cameras and doorbell about a month ago. Started getting triples last week. Husband and daughter have exact same Android phones and settings, but they're still getting single notifications.

I get duplicate notification when I arm or disarm my system from my keypad. Luckily no duplicate notification from my cameras, fingers crossed

@izzyd672 Do you also receive multiple push notifications when you arm or disarm your system using the SimpliSafe mobile app? Or does it only happen when you use the Keypad? What happens if you delete the app from your phone and then redownload it—do you continue to receive duplicate notifications?
