Doorbell doesn't work in winter

So apparently the doorbell even hardwired doesn't work in the cold weather. It's a new doorbell just sent a few months back due to other issues of it not picking up movement.  What a waste of money! And on top of that the outdoor camera in my backyard is missing from the past storm. The hardware that comes with I guess is faulty. Now I am out a camera and have a doorbell that doesn't work in the cold. So I guess I cannot be protected during the winter. That is very unacceptable! I am going to write the BBB as I am at my last wit with this equipment. I am not going through the BS of resetting the doorbell over and over and over again. I've done this many times already on my previous issues. Should be setup once and no issues. But this has been noting but a headache! I hope the hell you get your shit together! What a waste of money!!

My other headache. https://support.simplisafe.com/conversations/cameras/outdoor-cameras-dont-work-and-no-help-from-simplisafe/6523c352e82d554bfb13a3da?commentId=65a5e3816492572011b4bf9c

BBB complaint

I hope it makes a difference, but I have a feeling it won't. There's plenty of complaints with BBB already but simpliunsafe hasn't fixed anything. A class action lawsuit might be in order.

@Davo17 I am very sorry to hear about all of this trouble. What are the symptoms that you are experiencing with the Video Doorbell? It has a minimum temperature threshold of 4° F, so it should be holding up during the winter months.

I have also escalated this case to our senior support team for additional help with both the Video Doorbell and Outdoor Camera. A senior specialist will be in touch soon to get to the bottom of this.

I'd suggest adding a disclaimer that outdoor equipment may not work in cold temps. Only make available in warmer states like FL.
